Tommy Gate is proud to introduce the G2 dual drive - the next generation TOMMY LIFT. These models continue the commitment to quality and durability that the company has maintained since 1965. The G2 is a heavy-duty dual cylinder design liftgate available to fit most full-size pickup truck and service/utility body applications.

The power of 2

A benefit of a dual cylinder design is a robust and more powerful liftgate. The G2 Series uses direct power on both sides of the platform so lifting and lowering is smooth, stable and even. Single-cylinder direct liftgates lift with power from only one side; the platform on a single-cylinder system can torque or twist.

Heavy Duty

The heavy duty Tommy Gate G2 Series is available with lifting capacities of 1300 or 1500 lbs for the Pickup Lift Series models and 1300 or 1600 lbs for the Service/Utility Body Series. The standard steel G2 platform features a Treadplate surface. Adding an oversized platform will not derate (lower) the liftgate's lifting capacity.

The G2 series liftgates are available with a variety of platform configurations - optional sizes and materials - are available, including a steel 42 inch 2-piece folding platform with a 7 inch taper. Each platform configuration includes a taper.
